Sarah Probst Miller is a spiritual director, writer, and speaker who walks alongside others with compassion, curiosity, and creativity. Drawing on her life as a veterinarian, music minister, mother, and more, she helps people notice the Divine in everyday life and grow in love, mercy, and presence. Trained through the Global Spiritual Direction Program at Benet Hill Monastery, Sarah is both Catholic and catholic—welcoming all to a “come as you are” approach to spirituality. Outside ministry, she delights in gardening, music, family, chickens, hammocks, sunsets, and the small wonders of life.

Spiritual Direction (Companionship)

Spiritual Direction, also called Spiritual Companionship, creates sacred, non-judgmental space for what is on your heart. Together we will focus on YOU and listen with and for the movement of the Divine in your life. Together we will honor both the beauty, sorrow, joy, and pain of life and shine light where you want to explore. I will prepare myself to offer holy hospitality and will arrive ready to fully embrace the mystery of your person. Together we will work to connect head and heart in spiritual companionship. All are welcome!

 Roles of the Director

I, the spiritual director, will serve as a companion, listener, and non-judgmental presence to directees seeking to deepen their spirituality and grow in their relationship to the Divine. I am committed to holding you, the spiritual directee, in prayer and love and to listen attentively to what is on your heart.

Roles of the Directee

You, the directee, seek to grow your awareness of the Divine’s presence, love, and movement in your life. You commit to sharing what you are comfortable sharing. Be ready to explore; and if ready, remain
curious throughout the process.

Spiritual Direction (Companionship)

Schedule a session with Sarah either on zoom or in person. An introductory 20 minute sessions is free. Hour-long sessions are offered on a sliding scale ($35-100 depending on what makes sense for you, $75 is recommended if this is within your budget).

Thresholds

Is there a life threshold you want to be accompanied or celebrate? Work with Sarah to plan accompaniment or threshold celebrations, ceremonies or reflections to honor your sacred journey.

Benedictine Trained Spiritual Director 

Sarah received her training from Benet Hill Monastery in a two-year training program where she learned to journey from her head to her heart to better meet the Divine. She and her cohort worked to grow more compassionate hearts, practiced seeing the Divine in everything, worked to listen to self and others with a spiritual heart where internal wisdom makes its home, and learned to love more fully.
